THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING

When I went to the mailbox this morning I found only one thing in it, the
November Reader's Digest. I hadn't subscribed to it but there it was. But
I knew who had ordered it for my family, my dad.
Dad's been gone for over a year but here is the gift that keeps on giving.
It will expire at the end of the year and I doubt I will want to have the
gift that keeps on giving, keep on coming. But I know that the giver of
the gift will keep on giving for as long as my life lasts. For how can I ever
forget my father who was always giving something to make my life so
much better? I can't. But I can "go and do likewise" as I give something
of myself to others. As they say, "Like Father, like son."
