I'm always amazed at how I can go for a long time without being asked to preach for
someone and then suddenly the invitations come my way all at one time. I'm not at
all complaining, I simply making a point.
Last week I preached at a retirement village where I hadn't preached for 18 years.
Now that I'm back in Bowling Green, I'm invited to preach from time to time. Then
I've been asked to preach at the end of March at a small country church where I've
preached several times. I always look forward to being with these people to share
God's word with them.
I'm also busy working with what to say in June at Conference when I retire. Even
though I knew it was something I would have to do some day, I can't believe that
that day isn't too far off. I'm also working with what to say about my father at the
memorial service at conference in June. I have to be brief even though I could go
on for hours saying things about dad who would have turned 97 April 2nd. My 3
brothers will provide help with this statement. Less than 400 words doesn't even
begin to say enough about dad's life and love for the Lord.
I also hope to get back to blogging soon. I've missed doing it. I hope you have as
well.
