This is my first blog on our new laptop so I might make many mistakes. Our computer isn't working well so we have to have a friend repair it soon.
I had lunch today with a friend who is moving soon. I sure will miss being with him from time
to time. I went to Barnes & Noble for a cup of coffee and a few minutes reading from a couple
of books before returning home.
It is time for watching The Tonight Show with some new guy, Jay something. Hope he has a
good show. So, goodnight.

I am a little like Peter King. I know of nothing better on a cold day than a fire place, a good Sherlock Holmes book, and good coffee or hot tea. Lately I have been reading a Nero Wolfe book by the club that is part of his fan club The Gazette named for Lon Cohen's newspaper in the series written by Rex Stout. There is some thought by Baring Gould that Nero Wolfe was the son of Sherlock Holmes since he looks so much like Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock's brother who stayed at the Diogenes Club. I always thought of Mycroft and the club as sort of M5 in British intelligence and the club was the cover. I have a weakness for classic detectives like Isaac Asimov's Black Widows stories and Conan Doyle. I actually have an entire bookcase full of nothing but Sherlock Holmes and Victorian England books.
